Hi,
I have prepared a short (51minutes) concept demo for Penguin Random House
around a possible new format for premium audiobooks in Dolby Atmos.
The idea is simple, to relaunch an established book series as an immersive audio experience,
using the existing story and performance as the foundation, but giving it a new spatial and cinematic layer.
As a first test, I have created a demo based on the first three chapters of The Secret of Secrets by Dan Brown.
Playback may vary depending on whether you listen via computer or mobile,
and which browser or playback environment is used.
The format is already supported by Audible, Storytel, to name a few
where several titles are currently available in this type of immersive audio format.
The purpose of this demo is not to replace the traditional audiobook,
but to explore whether selected high-profile titles could be
positioned as Premium Audio Books — giving catalogue IP a new commercial life,
a stronger listening experience, and a clear point of difference in the market.
