Hi Richard, David, and the Dolby team,

I’d like to share a concept demo created for Forum Studios, Caroline Grimwalker, and Leffe Grimwalker.

JE-Digital is ”exploring” a new model for immersive audiobook production, in which an existing narration is enhanced with dramatized character voices, perspective-driven sound design, music, and mixed in Dolby Atmos.

The model has been developed specifically for smaller language markets, where financing a full-scale audio drama with a large cast can be challenging. By using the original audiobook narration as the foundation, the production can gain greater dramatic presence without losing the novel’s tone, language, or narrative perspective.

For this demonstration, JE-Digital has produced the first seven chapters of Nattkullen by the Grimwalker Duo.

Playback may vary depending on whether the material is played on a computer or mobile device, as well as the browser and playback environment being used. Download is possible.

This type of immersive audio format is already supported by platforms including Audible and Storytel, where several titles are currently available in similar formats.

The purpose of the demo is not to replace the traditional audiobook. It is to explore whether selected high-impact titles could be positioned as Premium Audiobooks. This could give catalogue IP a new commercial life, deliver a stronger listening experience, and create clearer differentiation in the market. It is like comparing ”Hard back” and ”Pocket” versions in print.

Also tried 9:16 (720x1280) Standing format. And added SUBs in English for some understanding

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Best, Jesper
